Job Summary

  • Shall be the key person in handling shipments to and from foreign countries and shall be the main person in procuring quality and cost-efficient supplies and services for Thales. Shall have the ability to create, implement and update guidelines and procedures, and maintain an updated listing of current and incoming inventory.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all accreditation, certification, licenses and permit renewals with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Bureau of Customs (BOC), National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), Optical Media Board (OMB) and other government agencies are processed completely and timely.
  • Able to prepare and manage all the necessary documents, guidelines and procedures related to import and export matters.
  • Prepare and process various PEZA forms such as, but not limited to, import permit (8101), farm-in (8105) and farm-out (8106).
  • Coordinate timely with brokers/couriers for the release of imported goods and with suppliers for the required documentation.
  • Ensure arrival of goods are within the required timeframe and maintain status report of all shipments.
  • Provide quality customer service to all clients/requestors and provide updates on the release of all goods from customs, including shipment tracking and progress.
  • Source, negotiate and procure supplies and services for the company.
  • Ensure accurate execution of all purchasing duties and procedures.
  • Maintain good interactions/ communications with internal and external stakeholders including requestors, suppliers, provider and vendors.
  • Provide assistance to Finance and IT on fixed asset monitoring and inventory.
  • Perform other related operations and general admin duties that may be required from time to time.


Job Requirements

  • Preferably graduate of bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Customs Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or its equivalent.
  • With at least five years of relevant experience handling import and export compliance and LOA processing preferably acquired in a PEZA registered company.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of PEZA, BOC and other government agencies’ rules and regulations
  • Experience on purchasing and vendor management, including inventory management, are an advantage
  • With proven ability to work with customs agents, shipping companies and internal clients.
  • Able to manage well the data for international and local shipments.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Detailed-oriented, self-driven, pro-active and can work with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge in Oracle system is an advantage
  • Willing to work in Makati City
